H.E. Mr. Mohammad Farhad Azimi, Ambassador Extraordinary, and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan met with Mr. Karim Massimov, Chairman of National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan by being accompanied by Mr. Mohammad Hasham Sa’ad the Counsel of Embassy were welcomed by Mr. Massimov in their respected Committee.

Then, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, while expressing his gratitude to Mr. Massimov, discussed his intention in order to establish and strengthen the Afghanistan and Kazakhstan’s relations in the Security sector. H.E. Mr. Azimi said that Kazakhstan is among the commonwealth states of the Afghan government and that security cooperation between the two countries is in the interest of both sides.

He conveyed the gratitude of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the head of the Head of the National Directorate Security of Afghanistan to Mr. Karim Massimov, who said that Afghanistan is about to establish security and strategic cooperation with Kazakhstan in various sectors.

Subsequently, Mr. Karim Massimov, Chairman of National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to H.E. Mr. Mohammad Farhad Azimi for his complicity, calling Afghanistan a friend and ally country of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Then Mr. Massimov, affirming the issues discussed by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan regarding the establishment of security relations between the two countries, expressed that this cooperation should take place bilaterally. In addition, Mr. Massimov called insecurity in Afghanistan as insecurity in the region, saying that the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan is willing to cooperate in this regard.

In the end, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan expressed his gratitude to Mr. Massimov, saying that the Afghan government wants to expand its relations with the Kazakh government, so we are ready to cooperate with you in various sectors. Mr. Massimov, with an emphasis on strengthening the relations between the two countries, promised all kinds of cooperation to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Meeting with the delegation of the gifts on both sides ended.
