BIOGRAPHY OF Mr. AZIZ OMAR
Mr. Aziz Omar is Charge ’de Affairs of the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Nur-Sultan.
He has been Director General of Economic Cooperation in the Ministry of foreign Affairs and prior of this Directorate General, he served as Director General of Policy & Strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
He has over 24 years of working experience, accomplishing 18 years of his work experience in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Mr. Omar appointed on 23 July 2015 as charged’ Affairs a.i. of the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nation office in GENEVA.
On July 2013 Mr. Omar was appointed as Counselor and DPR of the embassy and Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nation office in GENEVA.
He was Deputy and Acting Director General of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2011 to 2013.
He served as Director of Multilateral Relation and IFIS of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 2010 & 2012.
Mr. Omar was in charge of the Arabic Countries Desk of the Second Political Directorate in 2009. He was appointed as Second Secretary in the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Jakarta, Indonesia from 2005-2008.
Prior to his employment abroad he was member of the second political directorate (Iran and Turkey Desk) the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2002 – 2005.
Mr. Omar has both Bachelor and Master in Business Administration from the University of Berkley. He is native speaker of Dari, and can fluently speak Pashto, English and Arabic with good competence in speaking Urdu, Indonesian and French.
