H.E. Mr. Mohammad Farhad Azimi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Kazakhstan met with Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC Sauat Mynbayev.

Mr. Khushhal Farahi, the Second Secretary and head of Political and Economic Department of Afghan Embassy, accompanied H.E. Mr. Azimi in the meeting. First of all, Mr. Mynbayev welcomed the Excellences’ to their respected office.

Afterwards, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan appreciated Mr. Mynbayev and discussed Republic of Kazakhstan’s investment on railway sector in Afghanistan. H.E. Mr. Azimi appreciated the sustainable cooperation provided by the government of Kazakhstan, stating that the government of Afghanistan is ready and willing to work alongside the government of Kazakhstan for implementing the Mazar-Heart railway project. Additionally the implementation of this project can directly affect the percentage of the trade between both countries, increasing it in a higher number. Further, H.E. Mr. Azimi discussed the rule of Kazakh companies in construction of the railway and their participation in the bidding process.  Whereas it is necessary that the government of Kazakhstan to support the Kazakh companies who are willing to invest in Afghanistan.  H.E. Mr. Azimi pointed out that the government of Afghanistan is interested to work with the Kazakh companies in different sectors mainly the railway. Considering these, it is time for the government of Kazakhstan to act in good faith in providing assistance for implementation of these projects within the territory of Afghanistan and increase the cooperation with Afghan government.

Afterwards Mr. Mynbayev Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy appreciated the good faith of H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in promoting the business and other relations with the government of Kazakhstan. Additionally, he stated that the government of Kazakhstan is ready to invest in different sectors mainly in Mazar-Herat railway route. Meanwhile Kazakhstan is interested to assist the private Kazakh Companies willing to invest in Afghanistan.

At the conclusion, H.E. Mr. Mohammad Farhad Azimi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan appreciated the long-term cooperation of Kazakhstan’s government and emphasized on promoting the ties with each other.
