H.E. Mr. Mohammad Farhad Azimi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan met with Mr. Mohammad Sheraz, Vice Rector of Kazakh – British Technical University.
Mr. Mohammad Hasham Saad, the Counselor of Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan accompanied H.E. Mr. Azimi in the meeting. First of all, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan welcomed his excellency Mr. Sheraz to the Embassy of the Republic of Afghanistan.
Afterwards. Mr. Mohammad Sheraz by appreciating H.E. Ambassador of Afghanistan, discussed about Kazakh – British Technical University in Almaty Kazakhstan calling it as one of the top universities in the region, which provides quality education for students in different levels. additionally, Mr. Sheraz stated that their University is interested in providing education for Afghan Students and helping them to pursue their education in a much more standardized center. Moreover, he stated that if the government of Afghanistan is willing to work and cooperate with the University, they will provide special packages for Afghan students interested in their university.
Hence, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan appreciated Mr. Sheraz for their generosity and proposals, stating that the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is interested to assist the University in providing scholarships. additionally, H.E. Mr. Azimi stated that, he will discuss the issue with the relevant ministries and government officials in Afghanistan and will pave the way for bilateral cooperation.
Consequently, both sides agreed to hold a conference with participation of representatives from other diplomatic missions and international organizations for discussing the idea of supporting the students from Afghanistan and providing them financial support.
