On February 26, 2021 in Nur-Sultan, as part of the joint fight against coronavirus pandemic, an official ceremony for the transfer of the humanitarian aid within the framework of the Kazakh Chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) to Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine was held. The humanitarian aid is sponsored by “HALYK” Charity Foundation.
The ceremony was held in the Foreign Affairs of the Kazakhstan, which was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shakhrat Nuryshev, Executive Director of the CICA Secretariat Kairat Sarybay, Director of the “HALYK” Charity Foundation Saginbek Shunkeyev, Ambassador of Palestine Montaser Abu Zeid, Charge d’affaires a.i. of Afghanistan Azizullah Omar and Charge d’affaires a.i. of Iraq Murtadha Mohammed Mohsin.
Total amount of humanitarian aid from Halyk Fund is = 241 570 922 tenge ( 582 014 $)
Mr.Omar expressed his deep gratitude to ministry of Foreign affairs’ of Kazakhstan and CICA secretariat for making this donation possible.
He also, highlighted that this event records another historical care of Kazakhstan and in particular the ” Halyk Charity Foundation” who providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and other member of CICA.
This donation includes 263 kg of medicines to fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
